This is why I rarely buy games before release unless it's pretty much guaranteed to be awesome (Valve games, GTA, Battlefield etc...) So many games these days are rushed out of the door full of bugs with reviews embargoed until the day of release because of less than perfect scores.

To be fair I did buy Borderlands 2 before release but I enjoyed the original a lot. Borderlands seems to be the only thing GBX has done well in the past few years.

I feel like being polemic and say that last GTA was something not to preorder... I did, and by the time i got it, my PC was trashed (for its own reasons), but the game was unplayable on any average PC around and not easy on top-of-the-line anyway. I later played it on the Xbox and I was pretty much disappointed, I did convinced myself from the trailers that the game was more mature and dark than previous titles (Vice City is still one of my all time fav) when it wasn't. On top of that the story was simply disappointing and I find they totally missed the delivery of the final act, since you get to kill a guy that they don't drive you to hate during narration... hell, he's hardly around anytime during the events!

It has been ages since I bought anything before the release. I've become very careful throughout the years. Because let's face it guys, it's not our first rodeo. Like other people said before, I bought this game based on the game play movie alone. That would have been enough for me. I'm not mad that the game is bad. Disappointed, yes, but not mad. What pisses me of it the false advertisement of this game. We were all basically played. The thing that bothers me the most is all those Randy movies in which he goes on and on about doing the franchise justice, doing a true sequel in game format etc. I don't like being lied to. He didn't do it justice either. He took a big dump on it and wiped his ass with our money.

just finished to 3rd mission. so far i kinda like it, it alot of running but one thing i dont like is it is too dark sometimes even if i have my brightness set to full.

i like this game but the sounds of the weapons are shit

im on mission 8. i must say... eh this game is average, some levels are cool but damn its too dark, and more weapons would make sence. also that flamethrower is useless.
