m8nkey
Just wondering if there is a way to utilise a different $surfaceprop for the alphamap of a texture. For example, I have a plaster wall with alphamap windows where I'd like to use both plaster and glass surface props for the respective areas. Sentura
would you mind posting an example of how you did that? also i reckon there's something called $surfaceprop2, check the developer wiki for more documentation
Punky
Just wondering if there is a way to utilise a different $surfaceprop for the alphamap of a texture. For example, I have a plaster wall with alphamap windows where I'd like to use both plaster and glass surface props for the respective areas. I think simply adding: $surfaceprop2 will be enough(I checked VTFEdit and you have the option to assign two surfaces)
Seldoon182
There is nothing about the $surfaceprop2 on the VALVe's Wiki so I decided to make a quick test and $surfaceprop2 doesn't work... I've made this quick test with an alphamaped texture on CSS. "LightmappedGeneric" { "$basetexture" "test" "$surfaceprop" "metal" "$surfaceprop2" "wood" } Could you link us the texture you are talking about m8nkey plz ? m8nkey
Thanks for the info guys, something for me to look into next week. I'm currently interstate doing a shit course for work. Could you link us the texture you are talking about m8nkey plz ? I'm not talking about a specific texture. I've just been making my textures without surfaceprops with the intention of adding them later. Over the weekend I started adding them to materials and wasn't sure what my options were for multiple surfaceprops.
