i really dont see how that argument of you make healthcare fale???? :s

wait are you saying it would fail cos the ultra rare diseases are more important than the more general diseases that are a big financial burden for millions of people?

Because we can treat them, while they are put on a never ending list of waiting at canada. You can not tell me that someone who needs aid immediately can not get it. It is a law in this country that if you go into an emergency room, you are to be given aid no matter your race, financial status, or where you're from. It is also against the law to ask for such information. So to think you'll never get aid if you really need it is a lie

but afterward they will have to pay for it right? If its rare it will be hella expensive. You you're lucky it aint you right :P

what happens when in the us, you are born in a really poor household (say living in some marginal neighbourhood of new york), and you have this rare disease or maybe a heavy handicap and you need to regularly take expensive medicine?

For instance if someone is really in need of some seious medical aid in canada, they seem to come to America. Why? Because we can treat them, while they are put on a never ending list of waiting at canada.

That's only a half truth. The reason they come to America when they need specialized care is the fact that we have a more extensive network of specialists in America. Because they know they'll get a high salary in America, a lot of foreign born docotors who become specialists decide to stay in America instead of going back to countries like Canada. So it's not that Canada is trying to be a dick about people getting certain procedures done. There's just a brain drain of the talen needed.

I don't support full socialization of medical care for that specific reason. I do, however, support a basic needs package to be afforded to all citizens and administered by the government. This means that everybody is afforded the ability to get yearly check ups (including costly lab work and xrays) to make sure people are staying healthy and catching diseases early. People also need to be able to get emergency room care, pregnancy care (not just birth, but the 9 months leading up to and year afterwards), and other basic services needed to maintain a healthy society. Families shouldn't have to go bankrupt to keep somebody alive or well because of an accident, disease, or condition outside of their own control. We live in the wealthiest and most medically advanced nation in the world and it's a shame youv'e still got kids in this nation that can't get bsic checkups or see a dentist.

i agree fletch... but what is it going to cost?.. i get alot of bush spin.. 1.5 trillion.. blah blah blah.. well i think thats like over ten years... i dont know.. havent really looked at kerrys plan..

but honestly.. i dont wanna sound like a fear monger.. cause i know we get enough of that out of bush/cheney kerry/edwards... but i think if we take our eye off terrorism... healthcare is gonna be the least of our worries..

kerry likes to say we took our eye off UBL... infact.. we did get the guy that masterminded the whole thing... Khalid Sheikh Mohammedanyone?... and says we "outsourced" our efforts to "afgan warlords".. (so coalitions are bad now?) and UBL just walked away... when we had him "surrounded" in the mountains of torabora... when we had just an idea where he was... and what we had i belive was a satellite phone signal... and what i belive we found out... he sent that phone with someone else cause they realized it was tracking them when they made calls... so we wrongfully followed the wrong person...

now.. iraq... where to go with that... "wrong war, wrong place at the wrong time" well... if he was saying that before the election.. i think it would hold some water.. but the fact is.. he was very outspoken about getting saddam... ( http://www.kerryoniraq.com ) before the election.. now can he change his mind?.. sure.. its everyones right to do so... but you must face up to the facts and say you were wrong.. kerry has not done that (neither has bush about mistakes made IN iraq)... infact.. i belive we are making progress in iraq.. i belive the media is not covering the good things happening there.. schools hospitals and all that other good stuff going on... the news has one rule.. if it bleeds.. it leads.. and soliders dying in iraq or afghanistan makes a better story then some school thats open and not being used to store weapons (aks.. mortors.. rpgs)... hospitals that are now open... the fact that 400,000 people now have a phone for the first time ever.. how people now have clean water for the first time ever... no.. they would rather tell you about another car bomb that killed innocent people.. or another beheading... sticking to their #1 rule... i cant say who is going to win this nov... i know who i want to win... and i know who alot of you want to win... (some of you down right confuse me).. tired of all this "two-americas" crap.. there is only one america.. we may have our diffrence in opinions.. but damn it.. we are all americans... (insert patriotic song and a us flag waving)

Yeah, I know I'm kind of an asshole asking the government to do two whole things at once...

We're got a department of health, department of education, department of homeland security, defence department, housing department, agriculture department, etc, etc. When I pay my taxes, I expect a certain level of multitasking to go on in the government. So the answer of "we can't fix health care because there are terrorists in the world" is kind of a bullshit answer. Yes, it's hard. Important work is always hard. But it's their god damned job.

fletch... im not saying we cant do it... sorry if thats what you got out of my statement... and if you read it.. i agreed with you...

but right now... i want justice for those attacks on our soil (and im not saying justice to iraq..) and i find it hard to belive that kerry has what it takes to make the hard decisions (just my personal opinion, thx to the "right-wing" spin ;)) ... i want people that harbor terrorism.. support terrorism.. to pay... and honestly... we have a real problem.. and thats that good ol black gold... texas tea... we ARE to heavly dependant on it.. so we have to be nice to the backstabbers like saudi arabia who will say they support us and not do much about it... cause we love the taste of that sweet sweet oil... kerrys plan (atleast what ive heard him say) is to stop our dependance on foreign oil.. gas mileage of 20mpg in 8 years?~ cmon now.. we can do better then that.. we give a tax break to people who buy big SUVs that covers alot of the cost of the vechile (mid-early 80s to protect small farms and such that covers now SUVs, it goes by weight of the vechile)... and give a small tax break to people who buy hybrid cars that do not cover the cost of the extra it costs to buy the hybrid... its sad really.. that we have all these problems and neither bush or kerry is going to do a damn thing about it...

i hear this word "justice" all the time. How do you want to give justice to those "who attacked your soil" ? They are dead. And they wanted to die.

As for those you haven't caught yet, they want to die for their cause just like all the others before them have... so how exactly do you want to bring justice to these people and how do you define "justice" ?

Just wondering...it's always sounded like a very 'open' and undefined subject, especially even GW Bush used the word in his speeches. Like a heroic kind of word to hype up the masses.

Explain to me again, what's so bad about France?

I really don't get why most Americans seem to hate France.

From Green Day - Holiday:

Sieg Heil to the president gasman

Bombs away is your punishment

Pulverize the Eiffel towers

Who criticize your government

Bang bang goes the broken glass man

Kill all the fags that don't agree

Trials by fire, setting fire

Is not a way that's meant for me

Just cause, just cause, because we're outlaws yeah!

ololo I dunno, I just get strange ideas.

justice... well.. kill'em.. or lock'em up.. if you wish to seek out and commit atacks on the united states of america... we must find them.. and either kill'em.. or capture them... and put them in a nice orange jumpsuit and ship them off to cuba for a nice little "time-out" :)

now alot about the treatment of people in cuba has come out recently with a british man that was held there.. im not for this.. im not for the abuse of detainees..

im not trying to make this a holy-war.. im not trying to define this between good and evil... some people have.. i do not share their views...

but if you kill them you'll do them a favor, as they want to die so they can call themselves martyrs.

Stolve, stay in EOT man.

No.

well.. more power to them then... let them die at the end of a american made m16... if they wanna die so bad.. why is UBL hiding? :)

You really have no idea do you. A martyr is replaced almsot instantly by 3+ more people who see his deeds as brave. How do you think Christianity got so damned big?

Mike, I'd like to thank you for all of the support you're showing for the soldiers here in Iraq. I am in Baghdad right now, and it's such a relief to know that people still care about the lemmings who are forced to fight in this conflict.

can someone show me where they forced him to sign a contract with the military?... THEY KNOW WHAT IS IN THE CONTRACT!

in a recent poll of people in the military its 4:1 bush.. paints a diffrent picture dont ya think?.. anyways.. im to tired right now to go on and on about moore and his decitets...
