Why Vietnam service was brought up in this election - let alone made a major point of focus - just blows my mind. It has no bearing on anything, at all. I think that focusing on it has really hurt Kerry's campaign a lot - especially since he's been focusing on damage control for his past actions instead of campaigning.
Urban Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 i would like to thank kerry and the democratic party for giving us the most beatable presidential canidate (ever?)... honestly... if dubya gets re-elected... the democrats really really blew it (and not for a lack of trying.. ie: trying to sue to get nader off the ballot.. telling them if dubya gets elected they are all going to get drafted.. and telling all the poor black folk that dubya kicks babys or probably something similar) "that W stands for wrong!" lolol edit: http://www.drudgereport.com/dnc57.htm again.. wtf.. conspiracy~
The Postman Posted October 4, 2004 Author Report Posted October 4, 2004 Now now, both sides pulled rather dirty tricks. Telling african americans they'd get arrested at polls, telling people that "liberals" hate Jesus and the bible. The sad fact is that Kerry is very un-electable. He's too...rigid, I suppose. Too much a politician, in the non-believable way. The fact that his main power base comes from the anyone-but-Bush 50% of this country says little for the man, or well, our democracy. I really think a combination of Dean and Clark would've been a lot more electable. Dean pre-scream that is. That really hurt his image almost irrevocably I think - which is sad considering how good I think he could be doing.
Urban Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 hey, i liked that scream.. made a good sound byte for talk radio for those who havent heard it... here hes so in-touch with the common man One month from today, the American dream is on the ballot. Americans have always been hopeful that they can work hard to create better lives for their families. However, in this economy, it is getting harder to make ends meet and even harder to get ahead. i guess thats why they are working so hard to get nader OFF the ballot

Yeah, and having a dad who was president, head of the CIA, and consulate to Japan makes you a regular run-of-the-mill, good-ol-boy, down-home, everyman. Come on
wacko Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 atleast john kerry is actually being active and can hike a football. The president can't even drive a segway.
Urban Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 well.. kerry better stick to hiking it instead of trying to catch it then... or throwing it
insta Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 Its good to see that the american president elections are based on politics and not how good the candidate can throw a football or eat a pretzel. Boy howdy.
The Postman Posted October 4, 2004 Author Report Posted October 4, 2004 I like you Insta. edit: http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/news/WABC_100304_middleschoolteacher.html WTF!~ WTF indeed. That's royally fucked up.
Urban Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 insta, i agree.. the only reason i posted the 2nd pics was because of the segway pic... i dont think my first pic was all that bad.. it was just kerry playing football.. edit: http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/news/WABC_100304_middleschoolteacher.html WTF!~ edit2: http://www.channel3000.com/politics/3776992/detail.html
The Postman Posted October 4, 2004 Author Report Posted October 4, 2004 In all fairness, Bush supporters have done equally evil shit. On I35 around here a guy was driving some economy car shitwagon with an anti-Bush bumpersticker and a large SUV ran him off the road into a construction area while honking and flipping him off. The judge that handled the case fined them both because he said that the bumpersticker was "meant to encite the public and that he should be more careful in the future." Furthermore, I've noticed all over Dallas various forms of defacement of Democratic signage. From kicked down signs to completely destroyed or burned ones. Both sides are getting a little too damned overzealous.
Urban Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 Both sides are getting a little too damned overzealous. i agree i hate to say it... both sides are in the wrong when doing it.. http://www.whenangrydemocratsattack.com this is all near my home :/ and i hate both groups that do this kind of crap
