The Postman
and...go: *bickering for the entire time about things that have happened and we can't change with vague notions of a future plan on both parties sides, exchanges of barbs, quizzical looks from Bush, Kerry's ghastly grin and in the end we're all dumber for having watched it* I'm just thankful I didn't take a shot any time Kerry mentioned 'Nam or Bush mentioned terror/terrorists. I'd be dead of alcohol poisoning.

Urban
Wasn't that hella boring? I feel like I should get a purple heart just for watching it. lol.. debate drinking game.. now thats an idea.. oh well.. couldnt of last night.. (work+drinking=bad) but that aside.. i was sooo disapointed in bush, he had so many chances to really bring it to kerry, about his voting record and his stances on issues... but he had the deer in a headlight look that he does so well and i cant stand this elitest crap coming from kerry... instead of talking about what hes going to do.. he kept going on and on and on and on...ect about what he WOULD HAVE DONE (being a monday night quarterback is so easy)... i agree.. we all are dumber for watching/listening to it :/ one thing really got to me... this may not be a big thing for most americans.. but it really got to me "I also intend to double the number of special forces so that we can do the job we need to do with respect fighting the terrorists around the world. And if we do that, then we have the ability to be able to respond more rapidly." now we dont let just everyone in to the Rangers/Seals/Delta... those are "elite" groups... this aint the special ed forces... it is not that there is not enough people are trying to get in.. its not enough people qualify to get in... oh well.. i wanna see darth cheney tear in to wonder boy edwards... in round
The Postman
Cheney/Edwards is gonna be like Bush/Kerry debate, only reversed in the whole "deer in headlights" position.

The Postman
I'm just curious to see how Halliburton is brought up by Edwards and sensibly explained by Cheney, since I don't think that can happen - the sensible explanation that is. Urban
Yeah, about how evil it was for Bill Clinton to give Halliburton a no-bid contract in Yugoslavia... those evil Republicans.. oh wait.. nm... edit: im not defending Halliburton.. those bastards have been ripping us off for to long.. but i hate hearing people blaming bush for stuff clinton did too
The Postman
Wasn't poking at the Republicans, I was poking at Cheney, former president of said company. Such a huge contract and it's no bid and the VP of the US used to run the company that gets it - and gets a $1,000,000 bonus later on from said company? No, I don't see anything wrong there at all. Not to mention all the financial and fraudulent errors that company has made that strangely keep getting shot out of the spot light post haste. Duff-e
i liked the part where they complimented each other on their wives and started laughing and having fun SWINGERS ANYONE? the whole halliburton thing was kind of uncalled for....its more of a media type thing to run that into the ground and use it to "rally the troops....if i were a kerry supporter id be kind of disappointed about that whole thing btw the only real argument there was the whole bi-lateral/group talks with north korea....at least that was what mostly kept me interested. at one point (like 40 minutes in) i thought that bush was starting to lose (i cant remember why....i should prob watch again), but they kind of evened out again. cheney could do so many more legit things to make well over $1,000,000...i dont see why you think he would have to do something extremely public like say, start a war, in order to make the money. he could walk outside or do public speakings....or fuck even write a book....to pick 1m
Taylor
and i cant stand this elitest crap coming from kerry... instead of talking about what hes going to do.. he kept going on and on and on and on...ect about what he WOULD HAVE DONE (being a monday night quarterback is so easy)... i agree.. we all are dumber for watching/listening to it :/ That makes him look better and Bush look worse and concentrates on the most important thing that has happened during Bushes reign, the war on terror. I like the way you assume he would have made the same, if not worse, choices Bush made and only formed his opinion on what he would have done afterwards. Ever the pessimist. one thing really got to me... this may not be a big thing for most americans.. but it really got to me "I also intend to double the number of special forces so that we can do the job we need to do with respect fighting the terrorists around the world. And if we do that, then we have the ability to be able to respond more rapidly." now we dont let just everyone in to the Rangers/Seals/Delta... those are "elite" groups... this aint the special ed forces... it is not that there is not enough people are trying to get in.. its not enough people qualify to get in... Maybe he's going to train people better so they do get in, rather than your assumed stance where he opens the doors to everyone. I've a feeling you won't like Edward's debate so much, he's just going to purposely misinterpret Kerrys comments to make him look bad, which you've done preemptively. And it's bad preemptive; like a war on a country that's no real threat that causes more turmoil than there was previously.
Duff-e
imo bush won, but only because he locked down kerry on a key foreign policy issues in a foreign policy debate the line that won the heart of duffy (all 19 times it was said): "you say you want to bring foreign leaders to the table, yet you call them the coerced and the bribed" especially since that IS kerry's foreign policy argument "dur lets gets the other people to help too...no ones tried that!" http://johnkerryisadouchebagbutimvoting ... nyway.com/
