FrieChamp Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 I've had a pet project I've been working on for years, three of them if my memory is right. It started as a simple idea: You can judge a lot from a person's desk. I bet you could judge just as much from their home entertainment system. So I decided it would be fun to try and track down some pictures from the work desks and home gaming set-ups of the people who work in and cover the video game industry. Simple right? Not so much. http://kotaku.com/343590/work-and-play- ... s-greatest You'll get to see the desks of Sid Meier, Richard Garriott, Peter Molyneux, Randy Pitchford, David Jaffe and many others. I found this galery to be really enjoyable to browse through, you don't get an iside look of so many game studio CEO's offices every day. Most of the photos are quite recent too and oh boy, what kind of equipment and "stuff" these peeps gather in their workplaces.. Quote
⌐■_■ Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 [no] -KFS i miss the artistic kind of atmospheric, different from anything, neverseen, awesome desk though. Quote
Zacker Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Interesting look:) So many people who don't clean up their desk. Quote

Sa74n Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 good to see a lot of ceo/leads are still down-to-earth when it comes to their workplace (unlike randy ) Quote

Sentura Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 it's clear where they got the inspiration for cluttering details for bioshock from also, for a guy who helped develop god of war, i consider david jaffe's desk pretty clean. needs more blood and a red tattoo over the right monitor. WitchKing Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 Brilliant! I'm gonna showing ALL these photos to my girlfriend - she's always whining about cables everywhere and my messy desk. If she sees what Sid Meier's desk looks like maybe she'll calm down Quote
WitchKing Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 "Dez, World of Whorecraft pornography producer" Quote
R_Yell Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 I lost some of my respect for Sid Meier after watching his desk, but still think he's the greatest. Quote
Thrik Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 LOL at Randy's desk. That keyboard alone costs $200! I'd do the same in that position, though. Quote
