First things first: This is a full-time, fully paid position that requires relocation to Germany.

SENIOR CONCEPT ARTIST

Position Summary

The Senior Concept Artist works closely with Art Director and Development Director to develop concept artwork that defines the overall look and art style for multiple game titles.

Position Responsibilities

Work with game teams producing the following assets:

- Environment and character concept development

- Storyboards

- UI visual concepts

- Motion Graphics (Animatics, Post Production Concepts)

- Visual Prototyping

- Cinematic design

- Logo Design/ Brand development

- Matte paintings

- Graphic Design/Illustrations (illustrations for marketing and loadscreens etc.)

- Game Idea Generation

- Level design/ High level concept world design

Position Qualifications and Technical Requirements

- 3+ years experience working as an Illustrator / Concept Artist in the film and/or game industry

- Outstanding Photoshop and/or Painter skills

- Excellent Anatomy and Character Design skills with the ability to create creatures and characters in a variety of styles

- Excellent illustration and visual storytelling skills including: Composition, Perspective, and Color Theory

- Strong Environment Design skills with the ability to create organic/inorganic exterior and interior environments in a variety of styles

- Strong Industrial Design skills with the ability to design with function

- Strong Storyboarding and Staging skills

- Solid traditional and Graphic Design skills

- Basic 3D modeling and animation skills

- Experience creating concept for either existing licenses and/or original IP

- Experience creating illustrations for the publishing industries a plus

- Fluency in English

Soft-Skill Requirements

- Strong time management skills with an ability to juggle multiple assignments effectively

- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

- Able to work as part of a team

A portfolio demonstrating the following is required:

- Very strong traditional illustration skills in a variety of media as well as excellent drawing skills

- A strong ability to think in 3D

- Strong fundamental skills

- Good use of line, light and shadow

- Storytelling and concept development

- Breadth of artistic styles

- Understanding of color theory

- Ability to work within a style including a style set by another artist/art director

      Two new asset releases!

      First up is Basalt. Sadly I can't release all of the assets as some of the nature stuff is from Megascans and can't be redistributed. Also only includes the assets I've made.
