dux
So I just noticed it's in development at Eidos' Montreal Studio and they're bigging themselves up saying it's gonna rock, etc, etc. But we heard that with the awful pile or raped, abused, mutilated, retarded dog shit that was Invisible War. Discuss!
Thrik
Entirely impossible to say whether or not it'll be good, really. New teams have handled existing series fantastically in the past, just like they've managed to screw series up in the past. Incidentally, I semi-reliably heard that a big motivating factor in having the studio develop Deus Ex 3 was to attract talent to the studio with such an enticing franchise and get it established (Eidos Montreal is new). D3ads
I still haven't played Deus Ex yet, it's sitting in a pile and I've never been in the mood to try it out
Thrik
Well, it's just about new enough for you to consider trying.
Mazy
Aye, would be so awesome if they actually got Deus Ex back on track but its gonna be hard. Problem is that I just want the exact same game as the first game, just with better graphics, but thats not gonna happen. It all comes down to how good they can make a console version of it, make it more open ended and have lots of interesting choices, and get the vibe of the first game across. Eidos actually managed to get Tomb Raider back on track, they might just be able to do it again.

Mazy
Okay then, I think Tomb Raider Legend was good I thought that was the general opinion amongst people that they actually managed to turn the worst piece of shite worn out franchise on the planet (after Angel of Darkness) around and make a pretty decent game. Haven't tried the new one yet, been thinking about getting it for the PSP tho Anyway, Deus Ex!
dux
If they ignored making it for consoles then it would would likely turn out to be as great as Deus Ex, becasue they wouldn't have to worry about making it accessible for consoles while dumbing down the more complex aspects of the pc side. KungFuSquirrel
Legend was great; I still need to snag Anniversary.
Seldoon182
Deus EX wihtout Warren Spector ! Good news !
Erratic
It's hard to be excited about this. Invisible War was a good game and all, but I think I've given up on hoping for a true successor to Deus Ex.
ReNo
Legend was great; I still need to snag Anniversary. If you liked Legend or the original Tomb Raider then get it - best of both worlds, albeit less "holy shit this is incredible!" than the first game was at the time it came out. I stopped playing my PC version once I heard a 360 version was coming, but I've not got around to picking that up yet. Might do once I finish K&L actually... -HP-
Damn, I almost jumped on my chair when I read the name of this topic, I thought that a released date has been announced... Anyways, yeah, It has been announced a while back that DeusEx 3 was under development, but I honestly don't know what to think about it... DeusEx1, still lives in my gamers memory as one of the best games I have ever played in my life, although DeusEx 2(Invisible War), IS a fucking pile of dog shit... In matter of fact, I still got DeusEx1 installed, lol. I agree with Mazy, I would love to see the exact same game (In terms of mechanics and gameplay) with better graphics, and a new story. I'm not talking about a remake, although I don't think a DeusEx remake would be a bad idea at all, after all, most of the legendary games have been remade in the new days. (MGS, Tomb Raider, etc)
D3ads
I'm still kinda playing TR:A but I stopped because it was getting a bit repetitive which isn't surprising.
Jenn0_Bing
Heres a few stills i took from the part with the flickering images to see if there were any clues to the story of the game. A large number were old paintings of autopsy's and of angels as well as X-rays and anatomical drawings/ mathematical drawings. But mixed in there are a few images which seem made specifically for the trailer, from the things contained i have a general feeling it's going to be mainly about discrimination between people with augmentation and standard people.
