Problem is they know theres a large fan base behind these game hits therefore they will make money either way.

Yeah because it had angelina jolie to drool over, nothing else. It was an ok no brainer, but weak at times.

Silent Hill was alright, but just very average. They may have closely matched the visuals but seemed to really kill the tone and subtlety that made the series so good.

I doubt I'll see Hitman.

it's not that the ideas arent good. it's just that the execution of them usually fails. not everyone is a speilberg at directing :\

Now all hopes on Max Payne movie, even tho the cast decisions are not best ever it has potential... the director is pretty ok, behind enemy lines was fine.
