jaboo224 Posted November 23, 2007 Report Posted November 23, 2007 I dont like cod4's weapon system. Guns just dont feel like they have any kick in cod4. although i love their sniping system. COD4 graphically i think looks better due to the amount of art direction they had etc :] but i still think insurgency's weapon models look better. Quote
Bic-B@ll Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 ill try it, though i didnt find the first release to be my cup of tea Quote

I agree with you. Call of Duty was much more of an arcade experience... I didn't much enjoy it. There is never a change in pace of the action either, it is always pure chaos, and it gets old after awhile. Maybe it's just not my type of game. To be honest, Insurgency has probably done the best job of realisticly representing firearms. The only other games I can think of are maybe Operation Flashpoint and Americas Army, but Insurgency comes far closer. For the most part, my only problem with the first release was the fact that half the people playing it never knew what the hell were they doing thanks to the lack of an objective map. Now that this has been fixed i'm pretty excited about giving it another go. Quote
ifO Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 I'm really really disappointed they stuck with that slot class system, it really was a game ruining thing for me, because I tend to join almost full servers with ~24 max limit, play for 30 mins then quit (I have limited patience for games!) but with INS this means I drop into those worthless engineer/sapper, rpg or sniper slots. hfdskfhsd. That said, I'll give it a try. Quote

Zeta Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 I enjoyed it quite a lot when i played the first release, obviously a ton of work had gone into it as well. It was a nice package but i kept finding myself playing none of the city maps and instead just played on the map with the big hill. The guns felt satisfying aswell which was good. Can't really explain why but i don't much feel like picking it up again though. Quote

When's the last time you went to the range and squeezed off some rounds? Me? Yesterday. Fuck off. I don't want to sound like an asshole but you sir have a superiority complex. I haven't seen one constructive comment out of your ass since I've visited here. /rant Quote

Bic-B@ll Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 i gave it a try the other night and its definitely better than the first release, i still find the movement a bit too restricted but the leaning and stuff is nice. i think one of the biggest things missing is the ability to see who is shooting at you, there aren't any muzzle flashes or smoke or anything, usually you don't even hear the person so unless you can spot them quick you're dead. i guess thats how the game is meant to be played but i tend to get screwed a lot Quote
