m8nkey Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 I think I should try to use some more color though, my color schemes are kinda cheap at the moment. Nonsense!!! I'm loving the atmosphere suggested by the colour schemes. It really suites your style. Looking forward to seeing more. Are these available in higher rez? Would make great wallpapers. Quote
Gorion Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 nice one but it lost a lot of the confidence because you put too much detail in the guys on the bridge. just make them rough and quick. no need to go into pixel detail there. i disagree, i like how those characters got special attention Quote
Pericolos0 Posted November 28, 2007 Author Report Posted November 28, 2007 I agree with sa7an XD. Wouldnt say i gave them special attention, they are quick scribbles aswel, but just look more sharp compared to the whole because they are so tiny :=). I'll see about wallpaper versions next times , when i make a more detailed one. Quote
Pericolos0 Posted November 30, 2007 Author Report Posted November 30, 2007 this is a really quick one, trying out some techniques to get a base down Quote
zaphod Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 <3 your sense of contrast peri, it really creates a lot of depth in all your paintings. Quote
Pericolos0 Posted December 18, 2007 Author Report Posted December 18, 2007 first draft of something I want to work out more Quote
Sentura Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 what happened to desktop resolutions?! Quote
Synthesizer Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 Another nice one I reminds me of Spaceman Spiff, always crashlanding onto a planet. Maybe now you should start trying to working with colour locally, like to each object, rather than just putting a gradient over top. Quote
Pericolos0 Posted January 7, 2008 Author Report Posted January 7, 2008 working on color locally is something i'll be focussing more on from now . I've been having some trouble with getting teh character right aswel so i'm going to focus some more on doing people, starting with studies of myself! I put a mirror next to my monitor and did a selfportrait. It's the first time i did this and am pretty happy with it, eventhough some things don't really look right to me.. Comments/crits would be much appreciated! around 1-2h in photoshop Quote
⌐■_■ Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 looks cool execpt for the mouth. its kinda out of perspective.. Quote
e-freak Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 I think it's pretty awesome but the mouth isn't out of perspective but lacks some deeper coloring/shading. Quote
Minos Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 I think the eyes have too much depth, making you look a lot older than what you really are. Quote
Pericolos0 Posted January 9, 2008 Author Report Posted January 9, 2008 thanks for the comments guys, ill keep it in mind next time =) did some more work on my astronaut Quote
e-freak Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 that's wicked awesome... I liked the old style of that painting alot but that coloring is just double awesome Quote
Meotwister Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 looks great man, have to agree on the cigarette holding as well. I kinda liked it in the old one how the terrain was all rocky, but it seems like you went for a more realistic approach? I dont know, still looks great. Quote
