Hey, I'm trying to teach myself some proper concept painting, so heres some stuff I did i could use some feedback on =). i'll be using this thread to post all my sketches and other stuff, I plan to do alot more.

Anyways here goes the first batch

SPACE TUBES

An incredibly cheesy apocalyptic scene

I might start detailing the last one, but I'm afraid I'll be spending too much of my time on that and not really learning much about sketching.

Some feedback would be much appreciated, and also if you have any cool ideas for stuff i can draw (so i want be doing cheesy landscapes all the time), let me know .

Looking quite good. One thing that might help the space one is to give the planet in the background a light and dark side, to match the lighting on the space station, or perhaps it might bring it into focus too much.

I think I should try to use some more color though, my color schemes are kinda cheap at the moment.

i agree, keep the coloring. they look well saturated honestly, and go greatly with the images themselves. comment on the last one: too much reflectivity on the floor; it looks as if it's made of glass or is soaked in water.

also, could you post the number of hours/minutes/seconds you put into each image?

Nice concepts, I like the apocalyptic one

Maybe you could use stronger/brighter greens in the rainy scene. I like the color scheme but the bar sign looks a bit "dark", if you get what I mean.

Suggestions for themes:

- A couple of desaturated decayed buildings on a foggy morning (like the typical london weather). Think of stalker (the movie, not the game).

- an f-zero race

- a rainforest (think of king kong)

- hurg
