Rick_D Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 you mean my rainbow six: rogue spear mod isn't going to be critically acclaimed?! D: Quote
Sindwiller Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 I just mean I can't be bothered as it's not already on my hard drive like HL2 is, and because of the dated looks I don't really feel enthused to play this instead of just playing through a newer game on my list such as BioShock. ... If this'd come out in 2002/2003 I'd probably have loved it. People have worked hard to make that game. Those people sacrificed a big part of their spare time, in which they could have gotten laid, drunk or learned something more "reputable" than modifiying an antique piece of software nobody wants. Give it a spin, I'd say. Quote
Thrik Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 I haven't got the time. I've barely enough to play the games I do want to play, never mind mods that are indeed on antique engines. Heck, I still haven't played HL2 Episode One/Two fully yet. By the time Paranoia appears on my list it'll be 2050. Quote
⌐■_■ Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 Isn't HL like £5 now on Steam with all the extras? not with all the extras.. valve effectively exploits every single mbit they have. dod (non source) costs 10 $, just like cstrike.. its pretty shameless imo. Quote
Buddy Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 Who cares about visuals when the gameplay kick ass (I hope it will). I'm pretty glad that they've used hl1 engine, on source it would propably take them 10 years more or DNF time to finish, this way they will atleast finish something and learn skills needed to create something more complex. e-freak Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 The Sierra Release was way cheaper and included DoD, CS, TFC, Riccochet and Both Addons - for less than 10$ so it is a little costly now that EA and Steam are only selling it part wise and then for at least 10$ the franchise. Quote
⌐■_■ Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 the deal is that i have 0,03 cents left on my bankaccount and i still have 3 days to go before any money transaction coming my way. thats right, this means exactly 1 cent per day. also, those mods were free, once. i know i dont have to buy anything but im just an old git, complaining how things have changed over the years glad this mods comes out soon tho! cant wait i really hope the team gets full credit for their accomplishment..
