Zacker Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 A new version of one of the best tools for rapid game development has just been released. It was pretty damn good already and it has gotten an a lot better. Check out the new features here: http://unity3d.com/unity/ You should also check out their live demos: http://unity3d.com/gallery/live-demos/tropical-paradise To view the demos you need to install the webplayer which is a 1-click install that works even without restarting your browser! MrH2o Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 First (when the demo had loaded like 50%) I was like "Oh right, Far Cry graphics my ass" but after seeing and walking around Its not that far from Far Cry really, sure its a lot difference but being a browser game is certainly impressed me. Makes me wonder when handhelds should be able to do this Quote
Mazy Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 The stuff you showed today looked somewhat better than FarCry in my opinion. Quote
Warby Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 i got seriously owned at work today this is some hot shit ! Quote
Psyshokiller Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 Oww that is so awesome. So many things that could be done with it. Quote
ng.aniki Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 How does it work ? When you buy a pro licence, you can sell what you've done on it ? Quote
GregBoffins Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 First (when the demo had loaded like 50%) I was like "Oh right, Far Cry graphics my ass" but after seeing and walking around Its not that far from Far Cry really, sure its a lot difference but being a browser game is certainly impressed me. Makes me wonder when handhelds should be able to do this It may sound cool that a browser can do this, but it's just a plugin that runs something that has downloaded to your pc, just like a normal game. Not awesomely new or exciting. Quote
MrH2o Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 blah blah blah, just ruin my vision! anyway, have you guys seen the flamingo! Quote
