Argyll Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 Excuse the bad quality, but the camera was a crappy disposable one, plus with all the conditions (sandy, dirty, etc.) some of the photos did not come out too well. Only editing to them has been size (either full or cropped). First was in Meaford for the DP1 Infantry course: ^^ Shooting off some 60mm Mortars - WP and HE rounds. ^^ On the beach while doing Assault Boat and water crossing training. I'm on the left and notice how my combats are dry? When we did water crossing we had to change out of our combats into rain gear and stick all our kit - rucksack and web gear - into the goretex bivy bag and go in the water with it. Mine stayed dry, but some people's didn't. Then we were off for 10 days in CFB Petawawa for the Central Area Concentration known as Exercise Stalwart Guardian: ^^ Being in a Highland unit as a Piper makes me a Combat Piper... Rifleman and Piper. I led the Company into battle during our Raid against the Americans and during the live fire Block. Was a Rifleman for the OBUA aspect. ^^ Griffons landing to pick up the next chalks. ^^ Griffons approaching the LZ. ^^ Griffons landing on the LZ. ^^ Griffon taking off from the LZ. ^^ View of the cockpit. That's all the stuff worth uploading and showing, hope you enjoy... once again, sorry for the poor quality on most of them. Quote
FrieChamp Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 Why does the guy on the first pic have an "OH" (initials?) and a cross on the back (so hostiles can aim better while shooting him in the back? )? Nice pics! Quote
Duff-e Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 when i think oh+ i think black hawk down and then i think blood type.....but im just a dancing fool! Quote
