Erratic Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 http://blog.seattlepi.nwsource.com/digitaljoystick/archives/122799.asp Not sure how reliable the 'article' is, but Quote
Meotwister Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 'A friend of mine who has someone close that works at Bungie' not usually what you want to hear from a reliable article. Would be cool if it turns out to be true. Quote
Mazy Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Heh, would definitely be interesting if it turned out to be true, but I donno, seems fairly far fetched to me. Then again, I guess this could mean that everybody from Bungie is leaving and setting up a new studio, and Microsoft takes over their Halo shop completely. Quote
DelaZ Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 I think the article is fake... Myth The first two games were developed and self-published by Bungie Software, now a division of Microsoft under the name Bungie Studios. Upon Bungie's sale to Microsoft in 2000, Bungie lost the rights to the Myth franchise to Take 2 Interactive. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myth_(computer_game) Quote
Sindwiller Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Nooooo........NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....... /me cries a river Life is unfair Quote
-HP- Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Take 2 is known for drowning franchises, take Max Payne for example... Quote
^Slick Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Why did the dude put every single line in quote marks? Hes obviously a fool. Quote
Thrik Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 If you mean every paragraph, that's actually the correct way to do it if you're got a multi-paragraph quote. However, if you do this you shouldn't end the paragraphs with quotation marks until the end of the whole quote. Quote
Fletch Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 At this point, it's either completely true or (more likely) partly true. Microsoft's PR team is one of the quickest in the industry. They've got press releases out within hours when zero-day exploits come out or 360 shipments are confirmed as damaged. Silence means something is up. Quote

Fletch Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 "There's been no such announcement" Yeah, that's not a denial. Quote
Izuno Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 The whole quote from gamedaily is: A Microsoft spokesperson has told us, "There's been no such announcement. We continue to celebrate the tremendous success of the global phenomenon that is Halo 3." The little redirection at the end strengthens the "...............................can we talk about something else cause we don't want to talk about this" undertone. Quote
