e-freak Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 I meant it serious. I know that the movies I've listed (esp SPR) are not the full fitting argumentation base but I stay to my opinion (which I have to every movie or game) that violence just because of violence and as the core element is not what makes a good movie but disgusts it to me. Pericolos0 Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 to you maybe! I love violence Quote
Buddy Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 I think this promo clip is both artistic and disgusting... well, i don't like it. Quote
KoKo5oVaR Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 To my point of view that advertisement is more epic than violent e-freak . Tell you what, wars are epic, but also violent !!! !!!!!!!!! Quote

Thrik Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 I really can't see how they could have advertised a game in a genre that is pretty much exclusively full of death any more respectfully than they did. The reason they used a model of a scene in the game was to stand out. It is a very original advertisement and thus has been noticed by a lot of people. Would you have preferred they did the same thing with a scene of Master Chief and General Johnson talking over some coffee instead? I also really can't see why you're choosing this game out of the hundreds of insanely violent games that've come out over the years to launch a tirade of righteous mumbo-jumbo at. I think you're just over-criticising it because you don't like Halo. Quote
dux Posted September 25, 2007 Author Report Posted September 25, 2007 Thrik has this annoying thing about him where I'm always inclined to agree with what he says. Quote
e-freak Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 Oh - I did like Halo 1 and afaik you never have wound suffering comrades laying around the battlefield being slaughtered by some random fantasy beasts in the game. I just criticise where I see the need to. I agree (and I've done in the previous posts) that it is artistic (original). Quote
ReNo Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 afaik you never have wound suffering comrades laying around the battlefield being slaughtered by some random fantasy beasts in the game ...You really really do Quote
Thrik Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 Yes, I find it hard to believe you've ever played a Halo game based on that statement. Quote
Zacker Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 The Halo taking over the world vid is pure gold! Quote
FrieChamp Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 The Halo taking over the world vid is pure gold! I second this and cannot believe somebody would feel offended by an old man talking about a fictional war between space marines and aliens while the camera roams around a table filled with plastic figurines. German or not I think every Warhammer nerd's play table looks more violent than this. Quote
Algor Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 lol @ punishment being watching halo 5 cutscene. CUBE! Quote
Sindwiller Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 I think every Warhammer nerd's play table looks more violent than this. I lol'd ^^ Quote
