Belgarion Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 This is the Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado. Beautiful place. I'd love to go back. Quote
e-freak Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 The last one looks like a Film-Stil. Nice pictures allthough they lack a little contrast (maybe because of the enviroment ) Quote
JeanPaul Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 Awesome shots, where is that? Quote

cyberjunkie Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Nice pics I like the ones with the sudden-transition from sand dunes to the greenery. Quote
Jenn0_Bing Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 They're really nice, i think the 3rd pic is my favourite. It seems so unnatural it's a wonder it's real . Quote

I wasn't expecting it at all. We were driving toward it and we saw some sand thinking "oh, there it is." But that wasn't it, and we kept driving toward something larger, and eventually we started going down and we realized these mountainous things were the dunes. Snow-capped peaks with dense vegetation on the side and 800 foot sand dunes at the base with a snow-melt stream running in along the side. Truly unique. One of my top 5 parks (out of 25, whew!). How much scorpions there is in these dunes ? none. I saw one in Big Bend though! Quote
JAL Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 Those are some epic pictures. Amazing. The 4th picture is my favourite. Quote
