Chunks Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 Has anybody noticed any differences from the beta? Quote
Gorion Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 i played both the beta's, and i enjoyed them both (2nd a bit less, i didn't find the map to be that good). downloading the demo now (should be in, in 5 mins), + ill update my drivers. can't wait Quote
Zyn Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 Hehe I downloaded the demo around midnight, started playing it and after a while suddenly I realised the time was 5 AM. Guess I had too much fun being Field Ops and spamming airstrike\hammer\dark matter. Quote
Erratic Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 Played for a couple hours last night. It's a nice change of pace from BF2, it's a bit faster and a bit more gratifying with the experience system. And it runs pretty well on my two year old system so that's all the more reason to pick it up. Oh, and load times aren't a killer like in BF Quote
Mazy Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 Installed it and tried to start a SP server 3 times, but each time it got up it would just freeze when I came to the bit where you have the overhead view and need to pick teams. Then after freezing (and force shutting it down) and opening it up again it would just freeze the computer entirely, forcing me to completely reboot the computer. Couldn't be bothered to update my gfx drivers, donno if thats it (Saw on their page that it said that you need to update if you have an ATI card, mine is Nvidia though). Anyway, they blew their chance, aint gonna play it now Quote

Fletch Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 We've been playing during gametime the last two days. Some things of note: 1) Once an objective gets taken, the defending team is really screwed to get into position fast enough to guard the next one. 2) 2 or 3 people working with coordination on offense can wreck the defensive team pretty easily (Mikey, myself, and another guy were able to blow the underground gate, hack the tower, and blow up the last thing without the defensive team knowing what the hell happened). 3) Those flying strogg things are pretty fun. I always play human, so I merely enjoy sniping those bastards out of the sky... speaking of which... 4) The human sniper rifle is hugely unbalanced. I had to stop playing as a sniper because people were getting pissy. Serves them right for running in a straight line. 5) It's fun, but I see it getting old fast. I'm moving to TF2 next week. Quote
KoKo5oVaR Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Oh oh oh. i was playing during the beta, and now that i have the demo i do a complete rampage on every single server i play, always finishing first or second . That game is cool, i like the system of objective based maps like ET wolfenstein and it has great teamplay values, i'm conquered. STILL Now that i don't play with clans anymore just only in FFA, i'm not sure that it is a game made for FFA, well all depends of the cleverness of the community of players and their capacity to be able to play in team even on a server filled with anonymous people. The number of time i saw a medic running over my agonizing corpse in the demo was astounding Quote
