leileilol Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Where the hell is Deer Hunter and Myst? This is just another attention whoring top list of fanboyism. Quote

dux Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 PlayStation 3 PlayStation 3 games that have sold one million copies or more. * Resistance: Fall of Man (2 million)[99] * MotorStorm (1 million)[100] lol - that's the whole list. Quote
D3ads Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 No surprise that 'The Sims' is at the top.. Quote
KoKo5oVaR Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 Yea Nintedogs was the biggest surprise to me in that list. I mean 14.75 million Nintendogs seems to be a convenient solution to all parents who don't want to clean dogs hairs off the carpet. But it's funny to see that the videogame best sellers are actually a lot of games for girls : pokemon, the sims, nintendogs. Actually what i think, is that girls : - Usually don't pirate games. - Play less games than boys (in number of hours), that imply that the choice of videogames for girls is less important. So when girls buy a game, they all buy the same game, this not means they will play it alot, but they had bought it . I mean when you have a whole lot of different FPS, girls have only one game about puppies, and i think this is why the sims are still up there . And hey, they are more numerous than us testosterone powered living beings. There's a big market out there What your aliens & zombies can do against this : Quote
KoKo5oVaR Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 And i think that's the same phenomena concerning "Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day!" it's the only game for old people, so with all the pushing of the marketing that's the one they will buy. Quote
Mr. Happy Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 I'd like to see a list adjusted by market size/percent. For example Myst, one of the best selling games of all time but when it was still being sold and played the market was smaller so of course it hasn't sold 20 milion copies, there simply weren't as many people playing games then (and it was mostly console back then as well.) Athough because of this I'm suprised (and happy!) to see SMB3 and FF7 on there So a list based on market share for the first year of sales woud be much more interesting I think. Quote
