Sentura Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 they're original though, you always either see huge tripod feet or small pin feet. also if you hadnt already received enough praise: awesomeness Quote
-HP- Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 oh... my... god... Congratufuckinglations Quote
Warby Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 looks great and should translate well to a normal map too however i feel like all the detail is like EQUIVALENT-DEEP so no geometry details pops out as more important than others ... especially (or only) on the legs that is ... kinda difficult to put in words what i mean .. nonetheless great stuff Quote
Psyshokiller Posted September 10, 2007 Author Report Posted September 10, 2007 I guess you mean the mass definition compared to the detail it gets, I kind of get the point I think. Thanks for the critique. Quote
Psy Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 His feet are too small but, my god, it looks faptastic. Quote
Psyshokiller Posted September 29, 2007 Author Report Posted September 29, 2007 Update: I did the leg lowpoly and and rendered a first normalmap. Gotta tweak it here and there but I'm quite pleased with it. The body will follow soon. 790 tris C&C welcome. Quote
Jenn0_Bing Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 I cant see anything wrong with it, looks awesome. Quote
Seldoon182 Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 Woah ! The baking looks nice done bud ! Can you show us your uv map dude ? Quote
Psyshokiller Posted September 29, 2007 Author Report Posted September 29, 2007 Thanks for the comments guys. So heres the final leg: Everything was subdivided on the highpoly in that render and I optimized the Uv's which results in a much more crisp look on the frist 2 segments. *gonna fix that smudge on the first rotating cylinder and the distorsion on number 3 in PS Quote
dux Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 the only thing that makes this any cooler is your avatar. Quote
Zyn Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 What's with the levitating cylinder thing? :S Quote
Psyshokiller Posted September 29, 2007 Author Report Posted September 29, 2007 Had to put it away due to possible scan distance problems. Also I had to add some more polys to the joint there, to prevent nasty stretching when animating it later. Quote
Seldoon182 Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 Thanks ! Awesome suff ! Keep it up ! Quote
