Psy Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 I run it fine on my X1900GT. It's a brilliant game and the relationship between the Big Daddies and the Little Sisters is cute somehow...I said somehow. Quote
Mazy Posted August 27, 2007 Author Report Posted August 27, 2007 ::SPOLIERISH KINDA MEBBE:: Its funny, in the beginning I did kinda saw what most reviews talked about, being that it was kinda hard to choose between harvesting and rescuing the Little Sisters. However once I harvested my first it just seemed to take a hold of me, and from there on out I only occasionally rescued them Mmmm ADAM Also, I kinda wanted the Big Daddies to harder to kill, the fights were hyped up way too much. After your first 2 or so it just seemed like you would barely start fighting them before they died and I always kinda wanted the fights go on for a bit longer. Hope its more of a real challenge on Hard . Oh and if you're actually having problems taking them out: Flame Thrower with Electric Gel can take them out in about 1 clip, and the resources to invent the gel ammo is very easy to come by Quote
-HP- Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 Mazy ......... You should at least warn us, your gonna type a spoiler, before starting to tell us about that stuff... c'mon man.... Quote
Mazy Posted August 27, 2007 Author Report Posted August 27, 2007 Aye, my bad. I just cant help but talk about it, and noone has finished it but me Its frustrating. That said, its not really a spoiler that'll change your experience of the game tbh, but I guess that isn't my choice to make that decision. Quote
Psy Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 I leave the Big Daddies alone until I can get/buy enough EVE and First Aid Kits. D: It's pretty interesting just to watch the relationship between the Big Daddy and the Little Sister. Quote
dux Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 Saving the Little Sisters is more fun I think, the rewards are good so far. Quote
Section_Ei8ht Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 Aye, my bad. I just cant help but talk about it, and noone has finished it but me Sad I would have finished it by now if I could fucking play it! (grrrr PC) Quote
Grinwhrl Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 So far I have to say, great game and very addictive. Quote
Method Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 Aye, my bad. I just cant help but talk about it, and noone has finished it but me I finished it a while ago Although I didn't rush and spent about 3 days playing on and off. Looking at levels and lighting they used. Bought it the day it came out. -Method Quote
Mojo Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 I am finding it to be more and more RPG like than FPS since I want to get every single tonic and all the radio messages Quote
JamesL Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 <><>POSSIBLE MINOR SPOILERS <><> Completed it in 25-30 hours. Rescued all the Little sisters and got the good ending. Fantastic game, not sure what you meant about a dip before the end Mazy? My only complaint would be that it was sooo very like SS2 in its design. But that was only a minor niggle during the first couple of hours play. I soon got sucked into the atmosphere Likewise I thought the Big Daddies a little too easy to kill and the game in general a bit too easy. I played through it on the middle setting and reached the end with max health packs, max Eve syringes, full on most types of ammo and all plasmid/gene tonics maxxed. Couldn't find all the weapon upgrades though despite looking pretty much everywhere. Got about 750 of the achievement points and will probably get most of the others when I play through on the hardest setting. Quote
insta Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 Picked it up for the Xbox last night and played for around 5 hours. Superb game so far, reminds me of SS2 in all the good ways. I love watching the Big Daddies/Little sisters wander around. Right now I'm only on the second level/enviroment, would probably have gotten further if I had played it on the PC since I'm absolutely shit at aiming with the xbox controller Quote
JamesL Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 Anyone else find the aim assist on 360 was more of pain than a help? It tracks moving targets but always lags behind then meaning that your view gets dragged around, but you still can't hit them. Most annoying (turned it off). Quote
Mazy Posted August 28, 2007 Author Report Posted August 28, 2007 ::SPOILERS SPOILERS:: ::SPOILERS SPOILERS:: What I meant by a dip was the escort mission. Now its not the worst escort mission in a game ever, but then again I cant really remember a game where I actually enjoyed an escort mission. Maybe its just me, I donno. It's not like it was bad, I just think the entire game was a marvel in brilliant decisions and great design, and it definitely took down some of its appeal as a whole for me there (Which would otherwise have been totally absurdly high). Anyway, aye, I'm going through it on Hard as well, rescuing all the Little Sisters. I too missed like two weapon upgrade stations, so I'm thinking of finding a walkthrough since I just looked about everywhere and never saw those missing two . Also trying to get the tape recorders achievement, kinda doubt on that one tho You're right about the auto aim, but for the most part I didn't feel that it was a problem (shotgun ftw!) Quote
JamesL Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 Aye shottie was my staple until I got the crossbow. Nothing more satisfying than 1 hit kill headshots at range Quote
