Mazy
http://media.movies.ign.com/media/499/4 ... ids_1.html It actually doesn't look shit, actually I'm pretty excited to see it now (Sorry about the IGN tho, apparently an exclusive over there :sigh:). Edit: Oh and btw, this a new trailer, not the fairly horrible teaser they released before

JohnC
Amazingly, he's using the right guns in the film. The love interest plot, however, is a direct contradiction to 47's cold, calculating, emotionless character.
Sa74n
i am definitely going to see this but wow, that hitman logo animation in the end is just super crappy. and i still think that timothy olyphant is NOT the right actor to be 47. he was so lame in die hard 4 and he has the potential to ruin hitman too but then again.. you never know until you've seen the movie, right? edit: the hitman symbol in the very end has some severe uv stretching too. o boy
Mazy
Yeah, in general all the effect graphics are just atrocious. The logo especially is just a catastrophe D:
^Slick
Why did they choose him? The model of 47 is based off of some guy, can't remember his name. This same guy is also the voice actor of 47, as well as that he is an actor! It would be an obvious choice. I'm still going to see it though, gotta haven't I? I can imagine another game coming out soon after the movie actually, jumping on its hopeful success.
-HP-
I don't understand why they picked that asshole either...
Zacker
The guy who did the voice for 47 is bald yes, but the model is definitely not modelled after him. Read Mazy's post for more on this.
^Slick
February 9, 1960) is an actor known best for providing the voice of Agent 47, the protagonist of IO Interactive's computer and video game series Hitman. In the game series Bateson is not only the voice actor, he is also the character model. That being said, I think this dude would of been good for the part: Jason Statham

Also even though Olyphant might not be a big name (Yet! ) then he does have more "Hollywood credit" than the guy who voiced Hitman in the games, which probably ended up getting him the job. Personally I think people that think that Statham would've been a perfect choice are making a really dumb argument. Apparently to cast a bald character you should narrow your choice down to actors that are naturally bald. What kinda of utterly simplified logic is that? I mean Statham is okay in those generic action movies he seems to spit out every 2nd month (Brilliant in Guy Richies movies tho), but he would really have to work on his accent if he had to play Hitman. Would be way worse in my book if Hitman had the english bloke accent instead of Olyphants baby eyes. Anyway, we can easily agree that Olyphant might not be the best choice, but I think he's probably a better fit for Hitman's kind of character (At least judging from Deadwood). ^Slick
Touche on the accent thing, that is true, but I do believe that Statham does have the look down. Either way, we can't change it now, and I'll be seeing it as long as i've the money. =)
FrieChamp
Back then, I also thought Statham would be the best/obvious choice, but now I'm also thinking that it might have hurt the movie in the end, despite Statham's popularity. The guy is branded by the Transporter movies and Crank, where he already played the ruthless "gun to hire", so I have nothing against having a "fresh" actor fill the role of 47, unless his acting is complete rubbish obviously I kinda like the idea with the apostate religious order, that created 47 to fight the "real evil", in a twisted, cheezy way...I don't think that was a topic in the hitman games. It was always a mysterious business organization giving him the orders (or "jobs") wasn't it?
JohnC
Yeah, 47 tooks his jobs from the ICA (International Contract Agency) a.k.a. "The Agency." There was never any rogue religious sect in any of the games, though he spent some time at a Monastery in Hitman 2......
mjens
Damn that looks crappy. I like a game but movie with this guy as Hitman looks shitty... Jason Statham as Hitman would be much better... Just because someone might be a good voice actor, then it doesn't mean they're a good actor. But Jason Statham is a great actor but I guess it's too expensive. Really - actual actor sux and it's not a hating words... It's more crappy than this guy: http://imdb.com/name/nm0911934/ The motive with religion and "fight with evil" - bad idea...
