Sentura Posted August 21, 2007 Report Posted August 21, 2007 having you tried emulating it do win98? that usually helps when running old game installers. it helped with red alert 1 Quote
Thrik Posted August 21, 2007 Report Posted August 21, 2007 Clearly a superb series. Wasn't as keen on the fourth, as the whole piratey atmosphere I loved was kind of lessened (although this was admittedly the goal of the villain in the storyline). First three, though... man, best game memories evr~~~~~ I must replay them some day. Been years. Grim Fandango is also of course on the same level as Money Island, with the same writer and much of the team responsible for it. Well worth a play for anyone who hasn't but liked MI. Quote
Taylor Posted August 21, 2007 Report Posted August 21, 2007 Monkey Island was great; Simon the Sorcerer and Beneath a Steel Sky are other under appreciated point and clicks. The 4th one didn’t happen though. (Bonus points to anyone who saw me post this in the wrong thread) Quote
Mazy Posted August 22, 2007 Report Posted August 22, 2007 Yosh, best trilogy ever! (What 4th game?). Been thinking about playing 3 again in ages, mainly cause its the one I've played least, which doesn't say much considering that I've probably complete MI1 about 10 times (most of those on my phone ). Oh yeah, speaking of Simon the Sorcerer. I remember wanting the second game a lot back when it was released (Even though I never actually tried the first one), but I didn't have any money and it was just before I discovered the joyous wonders of the internet and full demos. Anyway, the point of my stupid story is that when I finally got my hands on it years later I played it for about 5 minutes, did not like anything beyond what the demo had and uninstalled it. Guess it did not stand the test of time Quote
