I love CS:S btw I just think custom maps are wasted on it because no-one plays them. Especially maps with custom content that require a long download. Same goes for DoD:S and HL2:DM.

I second PVKII. :)

I think that attitude is too negative.

There are always around 120 servers playing one of the d00ds maps at the same time.

When I look at DOD:S for example the most played map has 300 servers and the map on the 7th place are only 40 servers.

Right in this moment 180 ppl play de_losttemple/pro and 260 ppl play dod_anzio.

I think you get the point, even if 3% of the CS:S community plays custom maps its more than 100% of the DOD:S community.

Actually, I regularly see custom maps on rotation in CS:S - just not, as you say, the large ones. AIM_ maps are very popular, DE_/CS_ ones less so, but they still are played a fair bit.

Anyway, as has been said the map looks great.

If you'r custom CS:S map if very good quality, both in graphical aspects but aswell, and very important, gameplay, it will be played!

And if you'r lucky to have you'r map played on the internet leagues and ladders, such as clanbase and ESL, you'll see you'r name all over the place.

So, why not? I don't think making custom CS:S maps is a waste a time.

Looks pretty cool, but I think it could use a bit more variety in the environment. Seems the only colours involved are that sort of bleached white stone and the (bright) green of the vegetation. The two-tone look is almost cartoonish -- if you subtly worked in some different colours it would maybe add a bit more depth to the environment.

Looks nice though. :)

That's what I did and it still resized my browser every time a new tab opened.

Only thing that sticks out to me after a couple of games is that it's pretty easy to get your feet caught up on the rocks across the water. If you go straight across the ford you step up like on stairs, but most of the time if you try to walk across the rocks from the side you get clipped.
