WIP: The Specialist map

1st floor: not completed, going to be a bar or something , to disguise the rest of the building

2nd floor: firearms

3rd floor: knife/katana/kungfu combat

there's two more floors, very top is going to have a helicopter, and a opening door in the roof for it to fly out of, (not really going to fly though) don't know yet what the 4th floor is going to be. texturing isn't even started yet, just using these textures to see what it's going to look like. also going to add some accents to the architecture. very beta piece of work.

also, anyone know how to make multiple spawn points in The Specialist? i have two on each floor, but only ever spawn in the first one.

Looks like you just learned how to use hammer. Thats good. But i dont see the point of pimping some empty boxes that should look like a room.

yeah but do you really think the final thing would look much different from this ? Besides, you really shouldn't post pictures of your map before it is somewhat .....worth.... posting. If people can't give feedback on a map because there's nothing to see then posting pics is pointless, regardless of whether or not it's "wip".

de_ungarn is wip, the author posts pic as he moves along. And people comment on the map. Because there is something to look at and criticise objectively.

Honestly, the mind boggles at why a mapper would want to show this. What constructive criticism can we give? "Make the bar"? I think not.

Stop wasting our time and your own; come back when you've got something we can actually sink our teeth into.

In the first two pics, you managed to half your fps by adding some gun-cabinets. That's some awesome mapping.

Very empty, add some stuff. Also try getting a theme into the map, and make some architecture based on that theme.

But obviously you are new to mapping, and everybody that has posted in this topic probably expected something totally mindblowing when they see a WIP topic. Just work with it and come back when you have something better to show off

I wasn't really expecting something mindblowing... just something people would actually be able to make comments on. This is just too early and too basic to pimp it... no offence
