I'm hoping the grain on the rifle is some epic post-processing effect and not lossy compression, but I couldn't help but laugh at the shadows.

Mhh not that I enjoy Sony bashing that much but they deserve it! Killzone 2 looks like a bad blend of the first Doom3 Presentation and Stalker at mid quality settings. SO FAR (can't judge only upon one picture, however showing such a picture implies a lot).

Anyways, here is a comparison between E3 2005 and now (brightened up, look at the textures [truly nextgen]).

Well, some pretty solid stuff but I was hardly blown away by any of it. Resident Evil 5 was nice, didn't think we'd even see a tiny teaser of that until next year. Also Assassins Creed did look pretty damn cool, the animation in the game looks sick, too bad about all that cyber stuff. COD4 was pretty cool as well, quite different.

Halo 3 though, meh. That's why you dont want "gameplay trailers", they always feel a bit weaker imo. Looked good enough though.

No MGS4 ;D

Assassin's Creed was nice, the crowd as dynamic obstacles seems to work out quite well..really love the Resident Evil 5 trailer, super cool setting! COD 4 looks VERY good too.

Haha, cant wait to see what Sony's got up their sleeves. With the Microsoft not quite making as big a splash as they did last year I'd imagine they got some fair chances of going out with the best impression.

Problem is that Sony's conferences are just always so awfully dull, loads of boring statistics and graphs to please their investors and dull business men talking about pointless stuff, where as Microsoft do a lot better job at making it entertaining to watch. Now that I think about it though, maybe Sony should just shut up about the business side and talk about the games

here you can watch the new trailer in a slightly higher reso, then after its over it goes to the 2005 CG trailer. I like the new one better

Aye just found it, looks pretty damn sweet. They've definitely got a hold of the visuals. Love the beginning on the small landing craft, nod to the first trailer ;D. Those lightning clouds are fucking rad as well, really cool dark feel to it.

Just hope they're also working on the gameplay, the first Killzone was kinda sour in that end.
