Tbh, i assume this wasn't a contest about who's map was the best, it was a contest of who can flood his map most allover the INTERNET. Dunno if your map actually was the best one, but probably almost no one here checked the other maps before voting yours. Seems kinda odd idea to decide winner like this when it's about nice bunch of money

That's also why the initial popular votes only counted as far as picking a top 10. The real jury then picked the top 3 in that top 10, and you'll see that certain mods that weren't in the initial top 3 actually won something in the end. Even one mod that was largely #1 finished second.

But I still agree with you, as I said in the original post. The map clearly isn't my best work, let alone the best in the entire universe

And to be completely honest, I never submitted anything to Gameflood. They sent me an email telling me they liked this map and had uploaded it for me. Had it been up to me, I wouldn't even have.

It's only after a handful of days that I realized you didn't have to be selected to participate, but that anyone could enter their work too....

Ah, ok, my mistake. I thought it was completely judged by those popular votes

The map itself looked very nice, i was just pointing out the idea there.
