e-freak Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 Allthough BF2 was graphical the same for me as what this game does: Look at an EA Screenshot and feel fucked up with the product you are playing - BF2 is mostly as flat as QuakeWars seems to be. For me BF1942 is the reference - It is flat but noone denyed it at least Quote
Metal-la-la-la Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 I wanna work at Splash Damage, they all have sport cars! Ok, in fact it was just to say there's a preview of Quake Wars on Voodoo Extreme website with pciture at of their office. I don't know you, but me i love to see pictures of the office of the game companies Quote

FrieChamp Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 I think those were the cars by the ID guys, who were checking on their franchise ZING! Quote

Ginger Lord Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 The MR2 isn't that good The Lotus is not really an everyday car, unless you bought into our Norfolk spin and bought all the option extras (carpets, cd player, sun visors...). So that leaves the Z4 Quote
Kakburk Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Found a guy who'd posted truck loads with screenshots from the ETQW beta at the IGN forums. (Err... well I think it was the IGN forums...) ^__^ http://origin-of-onefire.co.uk/Amandeep/ETQW/ http://origin-of-onefire.co.uk/Amandeep ... troggTech/ Just thought I'ld add them here if there's still someone left out there who's hungry for in-game screenshots. Prr! Quote
JeanPaul Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 How the hell can you guys say this game runs bad or looks ugly. AMD 64 3400+ 1 gig pc3200 RAM x1950pro 512 mb And I get this: WARNING LARGE IMAGES My name is wolfer ingame because my friend let me use his account. Quote
dux Posted June 30, 2007 Author Report Posted June 30, 2007 The megabump command to improve image quality was never mentioned by splash damage, it was only found a few days ago by people annoyed by the shit quality. Quote
Defrag Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Each of those screens is ~1 meg each -- it'd be a good idea to make thumbs and post them, or just post links. The terrain is OK but the rest of it looks pretty bland. Surely you have to agree that the promo shots were significantly more attractive than the actual gameplay shots? The promo shots had the wow factor and generated a lot of buzz and "omgs". Maybe they can improve it before the launch, but I'm still utterly unmoved by the visuals. Quote
Thrik Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Yeah, same. The best style I can compare how the game looks to is (again) UT2004's Onslaught maps, which similarly were very adequate but weren't very compelling on the eyes. Quote
Kakburk Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 There are a few games out on the market today which have built-in functions, checking your computer specifications and adjusting / deactivating / activating / "locking" some settings depending on how powerful computer you've got. (Which you all probably know already ) Perhaps it's the same with ETQW... or the developers just tweaked the .cfg as for the beta or something as I (think) mentioned earlier. Quote
Rick_D Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 Each of those screens is ~1 meg each -- it'd be a good idea to make thumbs and post them, or just post links. Yeah no shit - way to make me scroll across to read the fucking posts too, jackass  Quote
