A steam game for just $2.50

You can now get Geometry Wars on Steam for just $2.50. I think it's pretty cool if we are to see more of games with micro prices on Steam. I am really against that all new games has to be set in the same price range, why not let there be different games for different markets.

So now I actually got around to try it and I must say it's exactly as I expected it to be, in a good way. It's very arcady, simple and action packed. Overall it seems like a good buy after 5mins of playtime:)

Well it's really well rated Rick_D and I'm surprised you missed the immense hype it's had, but I think it's more of a casual impulse buy that'd pleasantly surprise than anything to get excited about. Possibly not quite so suited to the PC in that respect.

Interesting reviews but I would imagine it would only appeal to those gamers that liked that kind of thing in the first place.

I used to enjoy games like this on the megadrive but now I feel I want something more to spend my time on.

It looks like it'd be a good game to play with some friends maybe, but as I don't have any friends ...

Every Extend (Extra (Extreme)) is within the same vein if you like this, only instead of shooting enemies you blow yourself up next to them, hoping to create enough points in the chain reaction to get your life back.
