trepid_jon Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 Well, not really. I don't think I ever said that to Mikey. It was just random. Quote

DD Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 There's quite a bit of temp art in those screens. Don't be fooled by the MAN. Hey Jon! Quote
Izuno Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 Me likes. the grass looks really good. (just a detail comment there). i really like how all the npcs don't look the same...further emphasizing the fact that they have personalities and *hopefully* you will "get to know them" and have at least some kind of emotional connection with them...even if just a little. hopefully the writer did a good job... Quote
mikezilla Posted August 28, 2004 Author Report Posted August 28, 2004 If people walk away from this game remembering somebody's name other than the main characters I've done more than most war fps's have done a in a long time. Luckily for me I think people are going to remember a lot more than that about them. Which a ton came from Nathan on that one. Making the best characters I've ever seen in a realistic game... not to mention working with the confines of an xbox memory limit. The guy is unstoppable. I've been doing voice recording for like 2 weeks now, with another two weeks to go. I believe its gonna rock some heads when its done. Can't spill too much, but I will say that there is a really good character study going on here and the "HEY YOU THE PLAYER GUY GO OVER HERE AND DO THIS THING WHILE WE WAIT HERE!" crap thats so prevelant in games of this genre has been completely destroyed. The guys around you whether fighting under you or with you, aren't 2d cutouts. They react to things differently, they say different things in and out of battle. It's really exciting and I cant wait for that stuff to start emerging in the marketing. hooooo i got tingles. Quote
Tequila Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 You're doing a bang-up job of marketing the thing yourself, I'm getting excited! Quote
Taylor Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 Glad to here there's lots of variation in the voices, I remember being driven insane by Disgaea, whose general battle sequence went: Laharl:"Ta! Here I come" CH: "Wuf! Here I come" Mage: "Ah! haha!" Laharl:"Ta! Here I come" CH: "Wuf! Here I come" Mage: "Ah! haha!" Laharl:"Ta! Here I come" CH: "Wuf! Here I come" Mage: "Ah! haha!" Laharl:"Ta! Here I come" CH: "Wuf! Here I come" Mage: "Ah! haha!" Laharl:"Ta! Here I come" CH: "Wuf! Here I come" Mage: "Ah! haha!" Quote
Minos Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 yeah I hope so that "glow" thing is just too sexy for me Quote
Argyll Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 I am definitely going to play this game (it's right up my alley), but the lighting (blurry/smooth/weird/glowish) seems to turn me off... not sure why... Quote
