Defrag Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 Updated: New pics at bottom of page Click the thumbs for bigger screens. Currently weighs in at ~8k tris without any optimisations. I could probably simplify the wheels & axles and also trim off some tris when I remove the centre edge loop. I've still got to add a few more hatches, plates and lights, too and I think the back of it could use a little more detail. Overall I'm pleased with the look of it; it feels solid. It looks like it could kill you. Any comments / criticisms etc. appreciated. Quote

Defrag Posted June 7, 2007 Author Report Posted June 7, 2007 It's not really intended for anything other than relatively high poly game modelling practice, but I may try to get it ready for HL2 I guess Quote
ifO Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 Looks really nice. I love that it looks like it's got a huge fire selector from an stuck on the back end. *sets btr-70 to safety mode Quote
MrBaracuda Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 What calibre does the gun have? Looks nice btw ;D Quote
Defrag Posted June 7, 2007 Author Report Posted June 7, 2007 I think the thing on the back is for water propulsion -- it's an amphibious beast. As for the gun, I've got various reference pictures but it's unclear which version I've modelled. I just made this version as the other version has holes in the barrel which means more polys It's generally cited as a 14.5mm KPV heavy machine gun. Defrag Posted November 13, 2007 Author Report Posted November 13, 2007 Did a bit more and I think it's ~done, or at least I can't think of anything else to do to it (short of texture it, which I ain't gonna do). Here's some clay renders. Quote
