Canon 30D, aye... I've thought buying one too. Is it any good?

yeah its a great camera. you should look into it if your into photography!

if you can live with it just buy a rebel. they're cheaper and use the same sensor (XTi has a higher res sensor actually). I bought a 20D over a 350D(rebel xt) because it felt a lot better in my hands.

if you are debating buying the 30D in stead of nicer glass, go with the glass in stead. Resolution and a camera body doesn't matter as much as nice glass imo. of course, you could buy the nice camera and wait longer to buy the nicer lens.
