What's with the black and white squares at the back of the kart? Is that a placeholder texture or is it meant to look like that? Quote

FrieChamp Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 hmm might wanna look at this game i just came across on a german game news site: http://www.goa.com/#/kartncrazyhome/ looks pretty similar to what you got going.. Quote
zaphod Posted December 10, 2007 Author Report Posted December 10, 2007 ah thanks for the link! I had seen screenshots of this but I never heard it was actually out. It seems like a more visually polished Kart Rider clone, so free to play mmo style with people paying for accessories. We are kind of leaning away from that model right now, and more towards the kind of game you would find on steam, with user-run servers that people join to race. The kind of persistence setup and management of users that goes into running an mmo sort of operation could easily be over our heads. Also, at least in Kart Rider - both of us found the actual game play mechanics and item design to be very lacking. I am anxious to finish downloading this one to take some notes on it. Quote
Jenn0_Bing Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 I must say i prefer your style, it's still cartoony but theirs is way too "Mario." Quote
