mabufo
http://www.snarkpit.net/maps.php?map=2906 I have been sitting on this map for a long while now, so I'm finally going to release it. The only thing I had left to do were small little finishing touches. I've taken care of all of that - so it's being released. Some things you should know: as with my other release, this map is based upon a single player experience. I assure you, whatever similarities to dm_lockdown you see, are purely coincidence, as the brushwork is 100% done by me. If you think otherwise, than you are a fool. Please enjoy the map; I really enjoyed making it. El Moroes
I like the structure but for me, it's Half Life 2...that's old news man! Try to make new textures...another lighting.
mabufo
Making textures is just something I'm not good at
Erratic
It's not a bad way to get going with mapping but try to move away from basing your maps so heavily on the official ones. Whether you built the map from the ground up or not, the lockdown resemblance is pretty obvious.
Defrag
You don't need to make textures to make a 'new' theme Go take a look at some of the 1024 contest entries and you can see how some level designers can construct really different themes using stock resources. Sindwiller
You don't need to make textures to make a 'new' theme Go take a look at some of the 1024 contest entries and you can see how some level designers can construct really different themes using stock resources. But then again, it still makes you kind of limited.
