skdr Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 ... is set to be announced this month, 19th. StarCraft MMO? http://www.computerandvideogames.com/ar ... 7&site=cvg I'm really hoping to see StarCraft 2, not something like "World of StarCraft" or "Universe of StarCraft"
Mazy Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 MMO or RTS, either way I'm excited. It's not often that Blizzard announce new games I'd really like to see a new IP from them though, all this Starcraft/Warcraft/Diablo stuff is starting to run kind of thin :G
ctswin Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 Would they really announce another MMO? won't that just slice their userbase in half?
Taylor Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 LOL SPECULATION. It's likely, but we won't know for sure until the 17th when they announce it... at the Starcraft torny.
Sentura Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 dear god. more of blizzard's mmos will mean less players on the better mmos. too bad really, because there were some kick ass mmos out there that went down because of wow. i despise blizzard.

wacko Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 dear god. more of blizzard's mmos will mean less players on the better mmos. too bad really, because there were some kick ass mmos out there that went down because of wow. i despise blizzard. such harsh comments despise eh
Kakburk Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 :\ Bah! Starcraft should stick to the rts genre and not jump to mmorpg. :< I'm too greedy to pay the the monthly fee. :X
Sindwiller Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 dear god. more of blizzard's mmos will mean less players on the better mmos. too bad really, because there were some kick ass mmos out there that went down because of wow. i despise blizzard. Q-F-T And WoW isn't even a good game, either
Taylor Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 8.5 million last count. dear god. more of blizzard's mmos will mean less players on the better mmos. too bad really, because there were some kick ass mmos out there that went down because of wow. i despise blizzard. Q-F-T And WoW isn't even a good game, either   What people fail to realise is people don’t play WoW because of bullshit like them being drones (though the franchise certainly helped), but every other MMO out there being catass bollocks until it came around. There wasn't a shift of the MMO subscribers, the majority of its 8.5 million player base are new casual players. Games like Eve, Vangard, EQ2 or whatever the fuck fail to even dent its player base because they haven't quite understood that hardcore content isn't what gets them subscribers. People need to stop designing shit games that cater to the elite and wondering why nobody plays them, not bitching that it's spiriting away all the players.
Warby Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 i wonder if they look for environment artists for a new starcraft ...
General Vivi Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 this might be the mmo that brings me down......... Fat cheeks here i come!
