The toughest game levels/missions

I also found all the op flash missions insanely difficult as the AI would never miss and always knew you were behind vegetation... actually they always knew where you were it was a 24/7 AI wall hack job it sucked. I always ended up getting popped by some guy 100 miles away. God that game was frustrating yet rewarding at the same time.

More recently, I think I could mention Zelda: Twilight Princess.. The game's not so hard at all, but there's a place in the game that can become VERY frustrating after a while, it's the "Cave of Ordeals" in the Gerudo Desert.

You have to fight through 50 levels full of monsters in a row without any chance to get out and regain some health. Not only that the last levels become a real pain in the ass by fighting dozens of enemies or even three of the toughest monsters of the game at the same time (and believe me, they're not sissies), but you also have to face the decisions of the f*cking great fairy. : "Oooh, you played two hours and you wasted everything you had in your inventory to get to the level 40 and you don't even have the power to break ice blocks ? That's tooooo bad ! I'll bring you back to the surface and you'll come back later and restart everything from the begining ok ?".

Pyjamara and Sorcery ++ on my beloved Amstrad. Fucking solid.

Beachead also had some absurd levels and Moto X is the hardest game ever.

I went a few years ago and tried these again, hoping that my FPS sharpened reflexes would help. No such luck, even harder now. I've got more pateince than I did when I was 10, but thats about it.

Offensively, stupidly, pointlessly, annoyingly bastardly cunting hard games.

And always missing the last coin in Treasure Island Dizzy.

Anyone remember Days of Thunder on the NES?

Another arbitrarily hard game thats impossible to play when you're 8 (ish)

The final boss on Onimusha kick my ass.

Finally took me an hour and a half into the battles to kill the creature. It was completely worth it to see the final cutscene. If you havent played this game, its pretty fun just hacking and slashing.

Also "The End" in Metal Gear Solid 3 took me awhile and also resulted in the removal of a few choice controllers.

Both are for the PS2

hahahahaha

priceless KFS

:D

bf2 rocks though

That game and Indigo Prophecy are the only games I want to get rid of - from a packrat like me, that's terrible. Not only did it take me a half hour to bind my controls, but every time I've tried to play it (on multiple systems, latest drivers, etc.) it hard locks within 5 seconds of starting the game.

It's a piece of shit. I'll never buy a Battlefield game again, and I loved 1942. :(
