hessi Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 while working in the cellar i found an old untouched model kit + all of my old painting colors (2 boxes full). the prices were still in good ol' Deutsch Mark i will post my work in progress in this thread. this kind of making models is so cool. much fast than maya and max maybe i will make the same model in maya after this because then i have perfect 3d reference in front of me. enjoy! Pericolos0 Posted April 11, 2007 Report Posted April 11, 2007 hmm you need to work on your spec map abit more Quote
General Vivi Posted April 11, 2007 Report Posted April 11, 2007 i agree with peris ..... and up your normal map a bit to bring out those details and Wtf is up with your lighting ..... 1 big lightsource?! shame on you hessi! Quote
Sa74n Posted April 11, 2007 Report Posted April 11, 2007 heres a thread on polycount which shows how you can push those models a lot further.. be creative with your 'texturing' i'd say its a nice start.. now take it to the next level and customize it! Quote
hessi Posted April 11, 2007 Author Report Posted April 11, 2007 i saw this tank at polycount after i posted here. i feel ashamed actually i am not so pro in this modelling so this small piece will only be used as a reference for some maya model then (i think) Quote
st0lve Posted April 11, 2007 Report Posted April 11, 2007 If you buy 71 more of those, you can build the real deal! Quote
mjens Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 sorry for offtopic but it some kind similiar to your work 1452 polys Quote
Dradz Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 looks like an FW-190? ...and Hessi that is Old Skool! looks great though, amazing your paints were not all solid. ....wonder how many mappers/modelers here were plastic modelers/diorama builders back in the day -- ahhh, the smell of testors glue! ..and Hessi, no comments on my dod_Rouen post? was hoping you would rip it apart, but must have not been worth the effort?
