FrieChamp Posted June 11, 2007 Report Posted June 11, 2007 That looks superb, beautiful job man! Hope you will finish it soon! Quote
⌐■_■ Posted June 11, 2007 Report Posted June 11, 2007 I love this map! This is what a DoD:S should look like! Here's one thing I saw though. I know it's WIP, but still, you might not have noticed it..? Quote
OrnateBaboon Posted June 11, 2007 Report Posted June 11, 2007 The map is becoming more and more polished. I really like the feel of it. One of the things that looks odd though is the gravestone in the wheat field. I don't think people would be growing crops on a graveyard. A good addition might be a windmill. Because there is a lot of wheat in the map, it would fit in quite well. Also, I would like to see some areas that lead off into the distance. At the moment, there's no sense of there being a world beyond the playable area. A few super extended airy eye candy sections, like those found in dod_jagged (the rolling hills, phone poles, trees, roads and houses), or cs_militia (river, barn, trees, and mountains) would look real nice. spine Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 How's things going? Very nice work Albatros, thanks for making my textures look so good! Just something I noticed from the outset of this map, http://www.albatros44.de/nachtwip/npa30.jpg That tagging that appears on the turret stone wall is realy anoyng me, please fix it maybe for no one else but for me. Albatros Posted July 14, 2007 Author Report Posted July 14, 2007 Hey there, thanks for your last comments, useful stuff! Heh Spine, thanks for being able to use your textures - really excellent material to work with. Seriously! The Turret issue has been solved kind of . Okay um... I don't know if this already fits into the "Finished Work" section? Anyways, I have a first beta version of Nightingale ready for testing & joy. ^^ There's still a lot of work to do, but in order to change most of the still-to-do-stuff I'll need much input from players & playtesters. But yeah, that's what a beta is there for, right? Note to all HDR-users: the HDR function has been demolished in DoD:S for me, so I couldn't build the cubemaps correctly in HDR mode. They'll only be available in LDR, so please make sure to run the "buildcubemap" command if you play it in HDR mode. EDIT: Might be best to run the map without HDR, since you'll probably get a version conflict in multiplayer games if you have the cubemaps built on your own. Beta 2 will have full HDR support though - maybe better wait for that one, then . 1. Nightingale Website: http://www.albatros44.de/ngaleb1.htm 2. Screenshots: Quote

MrBaracuda Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 Ever thought of calling it dod_Nachtigall? Quote
t-lk | metal-simon Posted July 20, 2007 Report Posted July 20, 2007 The hottest DoD-Map i ever seen! Very good work, dude! Quote
JeanPaul Posted July 20, 2007 Report Posted July 20, 2007 I cant wait to go prone in those plants Quote
Albatros Posted August 2, 2007 Author Report Posted August 2, 2007 @MrBaracuda: Hehe, in fact I called all the work versions Nachtigall. The problem is... to reach international players, you need international map names . Anyway, the second beta will be done in one week from now - with full HDR support, that is . Cheers & thanks for the feedback! Quote
⌐■_■ Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 Albatros":290uymdc]The problem is... to reach international players, you need international map names . You have probably no idea how refreshing that sounded to me. Quote
JeanPaul Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 I feel like when you update, nothing gets changed, RELEASE ALREADY! Quote
