JeanPaul Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 Here are some VERY early shots of my 1024 refinery -Lots of vertical game play -Some crazy low scale lightmaps And I know that the developer textures I am using are custom assets, but dont worry, they are only placeholders. Quote
Dodger Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 I'm done with the map soon and it's a complex map wit a mapcore logo. Quote
VoodooBenshee Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 some more progress on mine: yeah that style is really hot! Quote
FrieChamp Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 some more progress on mine: yeah that style is really hot! Got inspired by "The crossing"? Somehow reminds me of it.. Quote
Buddy Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 So what about this deadline? Still staying with 20th april? And, can I have some parts of the map where player can't go stick out of the 1024 block? Like I need to extend one building where player Can't go, can I have it outside the 1024?? Quote
Rokusho39 Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 I bileve the rules state that its the playable area that needs to be within the 1024x1024x1024 box, but details where the player cannot go dont need to be. Heres some more progress on mine, stumped for a name though: Quote
Erratic Posted April 14, 2007 Author Report Posted April 14, 2007 So what about this deadline? Still staying with 20th april? Make it the 23rd for use of the weekend then. Quote
KungFuSquirrel Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 Dammit, source didn't feel this clunky coming from Radiant, but now from Unreal my brain is exploding. Doubt I'll be able to catch up to spacer and Bluestrike at this level of clunky unless I luck out on some brilliant gameplay. But dammit, this is fun! Quote
PS_Mouse Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 Main Room Staircase Basement Still need to place items, spawns and do some more work on the lighting Quote
dc-mike Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 probably wont be able to finnish my entry as ive gotten caught up in reworking an old map of mine for release... sorry Quote
Synthesizer Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 Wow! Some amazing stuff here, it's surprising how much you can fit in a 1024 cube. I'm going to give this a go, although I'm moving on Saturday, so I'm not sure how much I'll get finished. Quote
von*ferret Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 k2b and kfs are trying to get me to do this, but lets face it there isn't enough time to get a map together. Quote
