Okay, new upcoming map, jurassic park themed. Map is about 65% done atm. and blabla this and that.

Needs more Wayne Knight AKA Dennis Nedry.

Also a twist of Sam Neill AKA Dr Alan Grant wouldn't go amiss.

On a more serious note, the outdoor areas look accomplished but the indoor sections are lacklustre. They need more geometrical variation and detail, sprites and ambient_generics to give them character and more defined, varied lighting.

Well, i pretty much suck at lighting and it's too blocky atleast at indoor parts, i'll fix that. The map doesn't even have the actual feeling of jurassic park yet but i'll be adding different kinda stuff later which will make it more jurassic parkish

i dunno i like it....its an interesting change of pace from

space/world war 2

btw i agree with tequila, you should set up an office area and then have dennis' computer going "UH UH UH"

To be honest I think the map is lacking some... it looks very plain, which seems to take away from the whole theme. I would go back and maybe add some thing or add some more enviorment to it.

I really noticed that it isn't reminding much of jurassic park when i looked at it as non-mapper, i pretty much knew that already but now i'm starting to make these jurassic park posters and stuff, update follows in couple days.

btw. are they really going to sue me just for using Jurassic Park -thingies in my counter-strike map? I believe not.. (i hope) :wink:

im telling you...put in some of the trademark jurassic park features....the 2 big doors when you enter....voltage meters for the fence....go watch the movie right now and copy EVERYTHING interesting about the park

once again, its a good idea.....it might even have gameplay value if you do it right

imo the map doesnt need a gimmick, just go with the generic jungle science facility. looks good
