D3ads Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 Ok so this looks absolutely fantastic and if Sin City is anything to go by, then it will end up being a hit. Comes out here on the 23rd, not sure about anywhere else. So who else wants to DINE IN HELL!!?? Note: If you don't know what I'm talking about, please crawl back under your rock... Quote
FrieChamp Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 It is "Sparta" and the quote is "Tonight we dine in hell". But yea, definitely looking forward to see it. April 5th here.. Quote
Pericolos0 Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 i read the comic, it was okay. The film looks abit overdone but it'll probably be very very awesome . Quote

Grinwhrl Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 It was a good movie, although in my opinion it needed to be an hour longer at least. Quote
Spellbinder Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 I heard 2 comments on it so far, one bad and one excellent. The one that said it was bad said it was no story line only blood. Well i just love everything about history so i hope i will like it and i for sure will go see it. Quote
FrieChamp Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 Not sure if you should see it for the history aspect Spelly, it is more based on the comic series.. Quote
Skjalg Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 Not sure if you should see it for the history aspect Spelly, it is more based on the comic series.. # ccording to an interview with IGN.com, Director Zack Snyder says that fighting styles and formations (particularly the Spartan's phalanx) were purposefully changed - making them historically inaccurate - so they'd "look cool" and work better for movie purposes. # The movie never claims to be historically correct. It is based somewhat loosely on Frank Miller's 1998 comic book mini-series. Changes from history were made by Miller and Snyder so as to appeal to a wider audience and create a more exciting and visually stunning action movie, rather than a typical historical epic. I'm soo looking forward to it. Quote
Fletch Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 I really enjoyed it. I wasn't looking for some hi concept script. I wanted lots of ass kicking, and I got it. Quote
Grinwhrl Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 Yeah every reviewer seems to think this movie was based on realistic history, did they not watch the trailer??? hummm, wolf with glowing eyes, mutants and creatures, comic art driven look, yeah I wander! That is mainly the only reason this movie was butchered by reviews. Anyway its really good if you like art, blood, and ass kicking. Quote
FrieChamp Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 I couldn't stand another epic, historic 3 hour something movie.. Quote
Alf-Life Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 Looks meh... I'm kinda sick of these overblown 'cool' movies. I'm OK with 1 QT movie every ten years if he can stay off the crack. Quote
