Zacker Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 So apparently our games are coming to Steam. http://www.steampowered.com/v/index.php?area=news&cc=US http://www.steampowered.com/v/index.php ... idos&cc=US Quote
Fletch Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 Meh. I'd actually be interested in seeing what the revenue agreements are like. Quote
BaRRaKID Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 Why? Thats between Valve and Eidos, that ony thing that really matters is that we can now get a better varity of games from steam, which is like fucking great Quote
Fletch Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 1) I don't buy jack shit from Steam 2) I find the contracts a lot more interesting because I want to know how much Valve is getting out of this and how much the original publisher is getting out of it. Quote

Alf-Life Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 Hmm, CJ'll be interested about finally being able to get Blood Money over Steam... his Special Edition never arrived... :P:P Quote
e-freak Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Zacker (and who ever else works at IO): Will Kane and Lynch be released at Steam as well? Quote
Warby Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 cant tell yet my first work day is gonna be tomorrow Quote
st0lve Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 You probably can't tell anyway, silly NDAs Quote
Warby Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 that is true i didn't want to write that though because it would have made posting my above comment useless ... and i kinda felt like telling people *iamsuchanattentionwhore* Quote
Zacker Posted March 18, 2007 Author Report Posted March 18, 2007 Zacker (and who ever else works at IO): Will Kane and Lynch be released at Steam as well? All publishing related agreements concerning IO games are handled exclusively by Eidos. That's about how much I can say... I am looking forward to that you start Warby, always good with more talented level designers. Quote
skdr Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 It's nice to see new games on Steam. Hopefully someday these kinds of games will be there on day 1. Quote
JamesL Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 It's a good thing in many ways, accessibility makes folks more likely to buy games on a whim, which is good for the industry. However I still want boxed stuff to put on my bookcase of games on the wall. Looks way cooler when me mates come round Quote
SnipaMasta Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 It's nice that they've done it, but they've missed lots of their best games (Deus Ex and Thief being the obvious ones). Quote
