Buddy Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 Hi! I need to know how to view lightmaps correctly in max viewport (8/9), would be nice if that could be done without any additional plugins. Ofcourse lightmap would use second uvchannel. I couldn't find a proper way to do it Any ideas? Thanks in advance. -Bud Quote
Warby Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 in maya you can hook your light map into the ambient channel of your material and than use the high quality render mode and it will display it i am not sure if max has equivalent functionality Quote
Hourences Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 Open Material Editor, at the bottom of a default material you will find the section DirectX Manager. click Enable Plugin Material and pick Lightmap from the list. In the section DirectX Shader - Lightmap below it you can then enter the tex and channel. Quote
