Spellbinder Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Any one have any experience about this? http://www.xptuneup.com/xptuneup_qos.htm Quote
Zacker Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 I believe I tried this once without any kind of speed increase. Quote
Spellbinder Posted March 2, 2007 Author Report Posted March 2, 2007 Yeah every one i talk you says this. But its wierd since it suggest that XP hogs like 20% of the bandwithd to crap and 20% of 14Mb/s is rather much. Quote
BaRRaKID Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 Try this instead: http://www.cfos.de/download/index_e.htm Quote
Spellbinder Posted March 2, 2007 Author Report Posted March 2, 2007 Looks interesting but does it work? Quote
NykO18 Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 Windows XP always reserves 20 percent of the available bandwidth for QoS. En théorie. Quote
BaRRaKID Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 Looks interesting but does it work? It does work. It doesnt exactlly speeds up your internet, but it manages the traffic in a different way, giving priority to more important applications. For example you have an option that sets if you want to give priority to games or file sharing apps (p2p, torrents, etc). Its really nice actually, but its just a 30 day trial, so you either buy it or steal it Quote
Spellbinder Posted March 6, 2007 Author Report Posted March 6, 2007 Oh. Well it annoys me that i have a 24/1 line but in practise i only get 14/1 when testing with TPTEST but when i dl from whatever, html, p2p or torrents i get like a couple hundred kB's. Quote
Zacker Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 There are also limits in the other end. Quote
