Pericolos0 Posted February 27, 2007 Report Share Posted February 27, 2007 its not because they do it like that on game artist.net that it makes perfect sense :S. I can't think of any game engine or console that lets you use this ammount of texture memory but limits yourself that a polycount like that. I'd rather do a low poly competition that makes sense and that the contestants would learn something from and make something that could be useful on a portfolio. I think we should stay with limitations that makes sense and would be useful for actual game assets that would be used. And I know that people at game artist have been complaining about their competions for thesame reason. There's no reason we should copy game-artist.net.
