fonfa Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 awesome. but why not hi quality jpegs instead of raw? Quote
hessi Posted May 22, 2007 Author Report Posted May 22, 2007 if someone needs the photos really fast i could send the login data as a private message. i don't want to make this public, so some haxx0r bots eat all my bandwidth or haxx0r my network as soon as the tracker is running i will remove the ftp access. hessi Posted May 23, 2007 Author Report Posted May 23, 2007 awesome. but why not hi quality jpegs instead of raw? because jpeg cant be high quality. RAW files save 16bit per chanel while jpeg is only using 8 bits. with a raw file you might change exposure without loosing any quality. RAW files are the way to go! Quote
Mkz Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 why not .bmp downloading... its gonna take a year or two. ~1.5 kB/s Quote
JamesL Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Yeah have to admit I tried and gave up too, the dl was too slow on my crappy UK connection. Quote
hessi Posted May 23, 2007 Author Report Posted May 23, 2007 why not .bmp downloading... its gonna take a year or two. ~1.5 kB/s where did you get ftp access? if oyu are downloading via bittorrent: i am currently not seeding because my tracker used port 8080 (which is defined in the .torrent file too), but right now i need the 8080 port for a tomcat server for university. so the tracker cant get through. consequence: set up a different tracker (which i already did) and configure it for port 8081 (which i did too) and regenerate the .torrent file (which i did NOT do yet). though 1,5kb would be extremly slow because i upload with like 100kb/s even there must be like 100 people on my computer downloading shit to get such slow rates. oh and it is not my problem you did not download while we had like 14 seeders and average swarm speed was 500kb/s. Mkz Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 well.. now its ~10 kB/s i dont mind waiting for few weeks.. Quote
hessi Posted May 23, 2007 Author Report Posted May 23, 2007 ok after a HDD crash this morning and several panic attacks of loosing 24GB of photos + 100s of GB of my work i did set up my computer again (fuck you windows) currently reseeding this file via torrent. i closed ftp access because torrent offers more upload when ppl are sharing their connections. i hope you all enjoy. maybe i will release another collection this week. just download the .torrent file again (i updated it today) and point you client to your maybe already existing data. bittorrent will check the data so you dont have to start with 0.0% Quote
Spellbinder Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 I just discovered it didnt move at all. Quote
hessi Posted May 23, 2007 Author Report Posted May 23, 2007 configure you Router, NAT, BT-Client ensure all port ranges are forwarded and NAT/PAT is working. i don't know hwy you have problems that others do not have. maybe you should try Azureus as BT Client. Quote
Spellbinder Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Most of the photos are RAW files. You need at last ACDSee 8 (maybe 7 too) or Photoshop CS 1 or any other program supporting the Canon EOS 300D Raw format. Xnview says it can view .CRW i just checked that out. Haven´t tried it yet though. And it is free. Quote
