Dodger Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,11021-10043,00.html Idiots of course.. what to say.. Quote
FrieChamp Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 wow that's quite irritating to watch, I don't wanna be in those guys shoes (neither in those of the pilots nor those of the friendlies). As the pilot said on the tape - there clearly was miscommunication between what the controller said and what the pilots saw, but I'd be interested to know how easily one could take those tanks for orange rockets from up there Good that they aborted that artillery strike on time Quote
Rick_D Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 This has been all over the news here, and frankly the Americans are behaving the same way about this that they do about every other similar incident: denial of wrong-doing, saying their military courts did an investigation and cleared everybody of everything. I would like to know how many FF incidents occur between the Iraqis with their low-tech (by comparison) equipment Quote
FMPONE Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 I think the hardest part of watching the video this morning was hearing the guy said "I think I'm going to be sick" when they told him it was friendlies, as easy as it is to throw around blame I can't help but sympathize as this will probably plague him for the rest of his life Quote
FrieChamp Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 Yea what goes through your head when you hear this man.. Quote
st0lve Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 They should have double-checked, since the Brits have orange marks on their vehicles. Quote

Ginger Lord Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 Iraqis in Afgahnistan? I'm sure there is, however this video is from Iraq. http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2007060452,00.html Guy didn't stand a chance. Quote
e-freak Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 Iraqis in Afgahnistan? equivalent - killing here or there stays the same: murder. I thought this one would have been in Iraq... Quote
DanielAragon Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 The reason to deny military serving. It is hard for this guy to see that he killed somebody but i ask my self - he would not have felt sick if it would have been iraquis down there. What makes the difference? You kill someone, you kill because they are randomly sticked to one site and you don't ask an iraqui if he ever wanted to be in that war then you shoot him down... the difference is the brit isn't trying to kill you. Mojo Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 They should have double-checked, since the Brits have orange marks on their vehicles. they more like triple checked, almost quadroupled checked. It was just made intel given to their flight controller. Quote
