zaphod Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 I wanted try making an honest to god rendered scene this weekend so I knocked this out. The title is "Boys, dinner's ready!" Obviously mother is wasting her breath. Clickey for large. Quote
General Vivi Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 zaphod ! thats nice work man! show wires please! i must know ^^ Quote
Spellbinder Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 Awsome. Its sooo just the kind of art i love. Space mixed with mystical stuff/not real. Quote
zaphod Posted January 29, 2007 Author Report Posted January 29, 2007 I tried for like 15 minutes to render out a wire but I'm retarded and they make it hard to do in maya. I'll give it another try when it's not so late at night. It's not that impressive as a wire really, a lot of flat surfaces. Quote
Bic-B@ll Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 really cool although the door looks a little too simple, the edges are too perfect and it's a bit too thick which makes it look fake. the whole surface of the door is very white and the same color so its very difficult to distinguish how the pattern is made on the door. after looking for a few minutes i realized that it's the edge of a pattern routed into the door, it might be less confusing if instead of the edge being cut into the door the entire shape was, if that makes sense. the lighting would be more recognizable and i think it would make things better :x /ramble Quote
Furyo Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 That's really cool to look at. Good job Quote
Minos Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 Thats really cool zappy The door's texture could use some work imo. It looks a bit too uninteresting (maybe adding some stickers etc would help) Quote
e-freak Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 awesome - maybe put a shelfedge into one of the pictures side - more depth Quote
