OnboardError
Portfolio shot for http://www.onboarderror.com but if I make a layout id like to make a hotel CS:S map. What do you people think?
hydeph
the outdoor props have to go, for one, and the lighting doesn't really match. you have potlights here on the ceiling then a hanging lanterns then more potlights. the planters around the reception deck looks a little short and unfitting otherwise looks like another excellent start
Luks
Great start man, liked a lot the ambience and the table.
OnboardError
the outdoor props have to go You've never seen offices with these types of chairs and tables? quite common

Erratic
I don't quite understand what a portfolio shot is. What use is a screenshot of something that isn't finished/playable? If a potential employer asks for a playable level what do you do? Not to pick at things but this seems to be a recurring thing these days and it just baffles me. Anyway, I'd say go for it. Looks really interesting. I have a soft spot for wide open areas, looks like you could get some interesting gameplay out of it. Maybe work a second floor balcony in there for some vertical action. Spellbinder
I too have seen sunprotections (umbrella) indoors to cover ppl from sun. I do agree about the lights though. Its kind of to much, the roof lights are good but i guess inside that room where the computers are there are light in the roof so the one just above the opening should go, OR the ones on the wall. Both of them seems to be a bit much escpecially as they are so very different in stile. Also Erratic's suggestion on a second floor balcony sounds really interesting. Really good lookin so far GG! RA7
I like it, so make it a map
Zacker
Those arches scream for more polygons. You seem to have made them with just 8 sides, even back when doing HL1 mapping I used 16 sides. So at least up them to a HL1 limit. And the wall in the middle on the left want a proper smoothing group.
OnboardError
Fixed arches up, worked on lighting, and changed a few props... just perfecting this area... any other suggestions?
blackdahlia
the couches are a much better prop than the outdoor ones, gives it more of a hotel feel
Bic-B@ll
the wall between the balcony and the arches is boring, you might want to try to add hanging plants, a hand rail, some light fixtures, some colums or something to break up the total flat/solidness. i think an alternating handrail/wall type deal would look decent, especially if you added colums.
